Supporting learning and literacy in PNG
03 Jun 2016
Junior School students have partnered with Sustain Education Art Melanesia (SEAM) to support learning and literacy in Papua New Guinea (PNG) through SEAM's Making Books initiative.
Drusilla Modjeska, Founder and Manager, Making Books and volunteer Maggie Mackellar held literacy workshops with Junior School students. The girls created artworks and stories for the books, to be made in partnership with students in PNG.
The project is an opportunity for Wenona students to engage in creative learning and develop literacy resources to promote cultural exchange with students in remote areas of PNG.
