Foundation Day

24 Jun 2016

Wenonians young and old came together for Foundation Day to mark a special milestone: 130 years.

Wenona alumna Ms Kate Burleigh (1986), Managing Director at Intel Australia and New Zealand, gave this year's Foundation Day speech. She reflected on her experience as a student, and a mother in the Wenona community. Kate encouraged students not to focus on what Wenona can do for them, but how they can allow their experience at Wenona to enhance who they are as a person.

In a Foundation Day tradition, Wenona's youngest student Grace Walker-Barker cut the cake with Ms Burleigh. The School celebrated its birthday, and commitment to girls education, with cupcakes, singing and partying.
