There are numerous avenues for contributing, listed below. Donations can also be made when tuition fees are paid. The Wenona Foundation, which capably oversees the School’s development programs and philanthropic contributions is, governed by a Board of Directors made up of parents, past parents and alumnae.
Gifts in Wills
Many Wenonians and their family members take the opportunity to provide a lasting legacy to the School by specifying a gift in their wills, ensuring connections to Wenona live on for generations to come. Building and Acquisition Fund
Donations to this fund help finance the construction and development of new School facilities, including the acquisition of additional property. Contribute online here (tax deductible).
Wenona provides scholarships for students whose families might not otherwise afford an independent school education and assistance for those whose families encounter major financial problems. Awarded at the discretion of the Principal, they include the Barbara Jackson Scholarship and DalCorp Scholarships. To contribute to this Fund, click here (tax deductible).
Donations to this Fund keep Wenona's information resources, including the Evening Study Centre, up to date. Contributions can be made here (tax deductible).
Endowed funds are invested and the interest provides general scholarships and professional development programs to support teaching excellence. Donations through Workplace Giving and Private Prescribed Trusts and other gifts which do not require or do not comply with tax-deductible criteria are best directed to this fund. Contributions can be made here (not tax-deductible).
The Australian Independent Schools (AIS) USA Foundation has been in existence since September 2006. The Foundation is a non-profit tax exempt 501(c)(3) corporation and complies with US regulations for charities. As such, donors who make gifts to the Foundation may claim them as a deduction on their US income tax return. Canadians may also be able to offset US based income on their Canadian tax return. The USA Board of Directors periodically awards grants to Schools such as Wenona. For more information on AIS (USA) please click here.
