On Tuesday 8 March, a group of Year 9 and 10 students attended the Women in Science Symposium as part of International Women’s Day. The Australian National Maritime Museum, in partnership with the University of New South Wales (UNSW) hosted the symposium that encouraged students to see the possibilities for careers in science. A range of speakers discussed marine science, climate, ecology and innovation during the morning session and students enjoyed an exclusive tour of the conservation lab, found out about internships, mentoring pathways and competitions for science in the afternoon.
