Academic Spotlight

Year 12 Aboriginal Studies projects on display throughout Reconciliation Week.

Thinking Under Pressure

Mechanics and method were both on the table when 40 Wenona students from Years 7 to 11 joined more than 300 schools at the 2026 da Vinci Decathlon earlier this term.

130 Years of Boarding

National Boarding Week is the perfect moment to look back at where Wenona’s boarding story began, and at how much, and how little, has changed.

Rodeo Star

As we celebrate our boarding community this National Boarding Week, we’re shining a light on a member of the House with an unusual passion that has taken her half way across the world.

Strike Up the Band

More than 160 Wenona musicians from Years 3 to 12 gave up their weekend to rehearse, workshop and perform together, sustained by a shared love of music and some delicious food.

The Smaller Things

Allard House Captain Bella reflects on how a gratitude journal reshaped her perspective on giving and connection.

Built for Balance

Wenona has formally launched its Talented Athlete Program (TAP), a pilot initiative designed to support students competing in elite sport while maintaining the academic demands of a full school timetable as they balance competing priorities.

The program recognises a reality familiar to many of our young athletes; high-level training rarely fits neatly around assignment deadlines and examination blocks. TAP provides a structured framework to help students pursue excellence in both arenas, rather than compromising one or the other.

Hold the Moment

Head Prefect Poppy reflects on a chance encounter with an accomplished Wenona Alumna and the wisdom of never wishing time away.
Each week, Wenona’s student leaders share their insights with their peers in Assembly.

Choosing Grace

SRC Prefect Jasmine reflects on the power of giving people the benefit of the doubt and how choosing understanding over frustration can make us feel lighter.
Each week, our students share their insights with their peers in Assembly.
