Music Scholarships

Available to students entering Year 7 in 2028

Wenona’s music scholarship is designed for students who demonstrate a close affinity for, and commitment to, their chosen instrument as well their music ensembles. Their performances should clearly show a strong musical ability reflected in their technical proficiency, sense of musicality and stylistic interpretation of their repertoire. 

Music Scholarships

These scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate:
  • Exceptional musicality;
  • Good aural skills;
  • A high level of technical proficiency;
  • Willingness to actively participate in and support the Co-curricular Music program;
  • The ability to work both as a soloist and in an ensemble environment;
  • A well-rounded applicant with a love of music.

Auditions will take place on Friday 6 November 2026, by invitation only.

The scholarship is open to instrumentalists of string, woodwind, brass and percussion instruments.

  • We would expect string candidates to perform at AMEB Grade 6 or higher.
  • We would expect woodwind, brass and percussion candidates to perform at AMEB Grade 4 or above.
Application Process:
  • pplicants for a Music scholarship MUST apply for an Academic Scholarship and sit the Scholarship Examination and are not required to pay an additional fee.
  • Scholarships are available to Australian citizens and residents of Australia only.
