Music Scholarships

Wenona’s Music Scholarship recognises students with a strong affinity for, and commitment to, their chosen instrument and music ensembles.

Applicants should demonstrate technical proficiency, musicality and stylistic interpretation in their performances.

Available to students entering Year 7 in 2028.

Music Scholarships

These scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate:
  • Exceptional musicality
  • Good aural skills
  • A high level of technical proficiency
  • Willingness to actively participate in and support the Co-curricular Music program
  • The ability to work both as a soloist and in an ensemble environment
  • A well-rounded approach and a love of music.

Auditions will take place on Friday 6 November 2026, by invitation only.

The Scholarship is open to instrumentalists of string, woodwind, brass and percussion instruments.

  • We would expect string candidates to perform at AMEB Grade 6 or higher
  • We would expect woodwind, brass and percussion candidates to perform at AMEB Grade 4 or above
Application Process:
  • Applicants for a Music Scholarship MUST apply for an Academic Scholarship and sit the Scholarship Examination. They are not required to pay an additional fee.
  • Scholarships are available to Australian citizens and residents of Australia only.
