Music Scholarships

Available to students entering Year 7 in 2028

Wenona’s music scholarship is designed for students who demonstrate a close affinity for, and commitment to, their chosen instrument as well their music ensembles. Their performances should clearly show a strong musical ability reflected in their technical proficiency, sense of musicality and stylistic interpretation of their repertoire.

Music Scholarships

These scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate:

Exceptional musicality;
Good aural skills;
A high level of technical proficiency;
Willingness to actively participate in and support the Co-curricular Music program;
The ability to work both as a soloist and in an ensemble environment;
A well-rounded applicant with a love of music.

Auditions will take place on Friday 6 November 2026, by invitation only.

The scholarship is open to instrumentalists of string, woodwind, brass and percussion instruments.

We would expect string candidates to perform at AMEB Grade 6 or higher.
We would expect woodwind, brass and percussion candidates to perform at AMEB Grade 4 or above.

Application Process:

pplicants for a Music scholarship MUST apply for an Academic Scholarship and sit the Scholarship Examination and are not required to pay an additional fee.
Scholarships are available to Australian citizens and residents of Australia only.
