Wenona Aquatic Centre

Wenona Learn to Swim (LTS) offers programs for children of all ages in our dedicated Learn to Swim Pool, located within the School’s Athenaeum building.

Learn to Swim

Our programs focus on teaching skills for life, founded on years of experience in aquatic education. Being able to swim well is a pathway to enjoying Swimming recreationally and competitively, and is an excellent form of exercise and cross-training.
  • Aqua Babies: for babies and toddlers aged six months to three years, with a parent or guardian in the water
  • Pre-School Age LTS: for children aged three to five years, across three ability-based levels
  • School-Age LTS: five ability-based levels from beginner through to stroke correction
  • Private lessons: available by request, subject to availability
  • School Holiday Intensive programs: daily lessons across one week
  • Teen LTS: for Wenona students, conducted on Thursday mornings before school
All lessons are approximately 30 minutes and are taught by instructors who hold nationally recognised qualifications in swim teaching, water safety and CPR.
For full details including levels, learning outcomes, fees, pool rules, FAQs and venue information, please refer to the Learn to Swim Program Handbook.

Squad Swimming

Wenona Swim Squads are currently at capacity and we are unable to offer trial sessions at this time. Families wishing to be notified of any future availability may request to join the waitlist by emailing swimming@www.wenona.nsw.edu.au, including the swimmer’s full name, age and relevant swimming experience.
The Wenona Swim Club (WSC) is a community-based club with membership open to Wenona students and members of the public, led by a Committee endorsed as an approved activity of the School.

Swim Club

The club caters for non-competitive through to elite-level swimmers in both able-bodied and multi-class categories, and is active at Swimming NSW and Swimming Australia events. The club is supported by a year-round squad-based program operating on the School premises in a state-of-the-art 25m pool. Wenona has a long and proud history of aquatic programs, and the Wenona Swim Club continues this tradition to support students and the wider community.
