This week Wenona hosted representatives from University of Arts London (UAL), who were interested in seeing the work of high achieving schools in Design and Technology and Textiles and Design. The University of Arts London is a federation of six colleges with specialisations in Art, Fashion, Design and the Performing Arts.
Accompanied by senior NESA staff, the two UAL representatives spoke with students about their work and were highly impressed with the engagement, creativity, scope and quality. They also visited the STEM lab and watched enthusiastic Year 9 students test their digital hands and work on a prosthetic leg from common household items.
