Students learned about creating supportive, encouraging, friendly and optimistic environments at Year 8 Camp in Berowra, NSW. From Monday 23 May, 2016 to Friday 27 May, 2016, girls participated in a range of physical activities and considered their 'best self'. The camp, run by Southbound Adventures, focused on strengthening the girls' ability to think and plan ahead.
Wenona's 'challenge by choice' camps allow girls to challenge themselves by moving out of their comfort zone, into the adventure zone, but never the danger zone.
Wenona’s Cadets ranked highly in a Junior Promotions Course held in April, with five among the top 10 participants just six weeks after the School introduced the co-curricular activity.
Wenona teachers began Term 2 with a professional development day that explored ways to build a culture of reflection and help students actively seek feedback.
The recent Year 9 History excursion brought to life concepts of immigration and movement of peoples.
