Year 10 and 11 Drama students faced what could be their acting future, watching Wenona alumna Ashleigh Cummings (2010) star in Sydney Theatre Company’s The Hanging in August.
The show provided the girls a unique insight into our nation’s theatre, with the Sydney actress leading the world premiere of the Australian crime thriller about two girls lost in Melbourne’s hinterland.
While in Year 11 at Wenona, Ashleigh scored a major role in 2009 in Tomorrow: When the War Began, based on John Marsden’s novel of the same name, and has since studied in ABC’s Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, Channel 10’s Puberty Blues and Gallipoli.
