Ut prosim

It was no accident that Miss Hooke, in 1886, selected the school motto, ut prosim, for Wenona. This motto was chosen to ensure that Wenonians would recognize that service and personal investment is necessary for a community to grow, to become stronger, to flourish and achieve great deeds.

We encourage girls to participate in community service activities: activities which integrate meaningful community service with reflection to enrich the learning experience.

An important goal of these activities is to teach our girls the value of leading lives that make a difference in their communities. On leaving Wenona, our girls join a worldwide network of former Wenonians who are living the School motto, Ut prosim: "That I May Serve".
