Our staff

Wenona seeks to employ outstanding and committed teachers with strong qualifications, a sound knowledge of their teaching discipline, and a willingness to participate fully in the life of the School. We look for enthusiastic, creative and innovative teachers who are passionate about teaching and learning, and have a knowledge of best practice, especially in teaching girls.

Former students point to strong student-staff relationships as one of Wenona’s great strengths. Teachers’ outside interests, their personal talents, their determination to find the best pathway for each student, all support each girl in achieving her personal best.

In a social climate of unremitting change, Wenona’s staff believe they have a responsibility to mould and direct young minds. They strive to make each girl’s journey of education stimulating, enjoyable, meaningful and relevant. This also holds true for Wenona’s commitment to provide a stimulating and enjoyable professional learning environment for staff.

Our staff are extremely active in their own learning both in groups and as individuals. The School provides generous professional learning support, assists with individual professional learning plans and celebrates the talents of staff with the publication, twice yearly, of a professional development journal, Dimensions [pdf, 2.03mb].
