Philosophy

In Wenona's Junior School, our philosophy is summed up in the word discovery.

Our Junior School is an exciting place for young girls to begin their formal education. These early years enable staff to engage young learners and nurture their minds through a dynamic curriculum highlighting literature-based literacy initiatives, experiential maths and science, languages, and the creative and performing arts.

Girls arrive with boundless curiosity, enthusiasm, and eagerness to learn. From their earliest years, Wenona girls take charge of their own learning. They explore a broad and challenging curriculum, with a balance of traditional subjects and innovative ideas.

Every day, girls are offered opportunities to nourish their minds, bodies and spirits, but also to relax, reflect, contemplate, play and just be themselves.
