Evening Study Centre

The Evening Study Centre provides a learning environment for Senior College girls in their study and research.

The Centre operates from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays to Thursdays.

Teachers from all curriculum areas staff the ESC on a rotational basis, to assist girls in their work. Tutorials or workshops are offered to complement lessons or enrich studies.

The Centre operates in the Barbara Jackson Library, named to honour Wenona's Headmistress from 1967 to 1994. The Library is part of the Wenona Information Centre, which has a central place in the life of Wenona, both geographically and educationally.

A spacious, welcoming, light, air-conditioned building, the Information Centre is host to numerous classes and girls throughout the day. Girls use its research facilities before and after school, during lunchtime and during study periods. With its use in the evenings, the Information Centre plays a key role in helping girls become independent learners and researchers.
