Learning at Wenona is much more than what happens inside classrooms. If girls are to be well prepared for life beyond Wenona, then academic study should not be their sole focus. We therefore offer a wide range of co-curricular activities to complement the pursuit of academic excellence and our efforts to maximise each girl's potential in the classroom. From their early years in Junior School to their final year of Senior School, girls are encouraged to participate in a wide variety of activities.
Many significant life skills are taught or may be learned in the co-curricular program.
Leadership, decision-making, commitment, taking responsibility, working in teams, motivating others, learning to organise, learning to negotiate, learning to cope with winning and losing are some of the benefits to be gained from co-curricular activities.
Through their involvement in co-curricular activities, girls develop a sense of accomplishment. They gain greater their self-confidence by using their talents and responding to challenges presented to them. Co-curricular activities are an integral part of learning and development for all girls.
With new and interesting experiences introduced every year, our range of co-curricular activities reflects Wenona's vision - to develop its girls as "women of spirit".
